A 26-year-old has been charged with murder after another man who was found with critical injuries at a Perth park died in hospital over the weekend.
The accused man’s 29-year-old alleged victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital via ambulance after emergency services raced to Peet Park in Rivervale, in the city’s inner east, about 3.35am on Saturday.
The Joondanna man later died in hospital.

Homicide Squad detectives have now charged a 26-year-old Tuart Hill man with murder, stealing a motor vehicle and a string of weapons and drug charges.
The accused is due in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday.
Before charges were laid police had appealed for information about a silver Toyota Yaris seen leaving the park about the time the man was critically hurt.
