Jodie Jewell leaves behind a 16-year-old daughter who was involved in an Adelaide calisthenics club.
Calisthenics SA President Chris Mulraney said the teenager was training the night her mother was shot dead.
He said the 16-year-old would have been “thankful that her mother saw her perform” one last time, on the Friday before her suspected murder.

“It’s had a wide impact (on our sporting community),” Mulraney said.
“My recollections of Jodie was that she was a very supportive member of her club, very supportive of her daughter.”
An online fundraiser to support Jodie Jewell’s family with funeral and other expenses has raised more than $8,500 since it launched on Wednesday.
Organiser Samantha Benson said Jodie would be remembered as a “loving mum, daughter, sister, aunt and friend”.
“Jodie touched the hearts of those around them with their kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit,” Benson said.
Kevin Jewell dead
Police suspect Kevin Jewell left Adelaide with a gun and ammunition in a Mitsubishi ute earlier this week, prompting a public warning that he not be approached.
A Curramulka local found his body about 150m from his ute, on a rural property.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
A friend of the Jewell family, Adam*, said he was shocked when he heard of Jodie Jewell’s death and that her husband was a suspect.
He said he was unaware of any allegations of domestic violence related to the couple.

“I’ve known Kev and Jodie Jewell for about 12 years now,” Adam said in a social media post.
“I’m sick to my stomach. My heart is heavy, and my thoughts are with their daughter and friends and family left behind to deal with this absolute nightmare.
“Jodie was always very nice and welcoming anytime we saw her. I’m just so sad and horrified this has happened to her.”
Adam said that had he been aware of any allegations of domestic violence, he would have tried to do something to help.
“I promise I will never, commit, excuse or be silent about domestic abuse against women,” he said.
“It’s not weak to speak. Reach out to someone to talk to if you are struggling.”
