A father allegedly murdered at Fitzroy Gardens early Monday was feeding ducks before his death.
The 52-year-old Ringwood man’s family told 7NEWS he was an animal lover who liked to stop at the Melbourne park before work because it was therapeutic.
Too distraught to speak on camera, loved ones remembered him as a loving husband and father.

Police allege he was fatally bashed by homeless man Anas Abdulfatah.
Paramedics worked on the victim for at least half an hour but he died at the scene.

The accused, 36, was taken to hospital under police guard and later charged with one count of murder.
Melbourne Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday morning he was too unwell to attend a brief hearing following his arrest.
Abdulfatah’s lawyer said he required medication for schizoaffective and bipolar conditions, while a prosecutor flagged it would take forensic experts 12 weeks to determine the victim’s cause of death.
He was remanded until the matter’s next scheduled hearing in December.
